4 Additional restrictions related to COVID19

1. EQUIPMENT, GEAR DURING TRAINING
Students must have in their equipment;

  • clothing suitable for the conditions, which can be soiled or even destroyed
There is no rule and no universal pattern on how to dress. The best way is to “onion”.

Check out this video (it will help you – us): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_NYQrAnEwY (use the automatic translator for English)

  • Shoes that fit and, above the ankle. Moisture-resistant if possible (especially in winter)

We will be moving in the woods (sticks, holes, off-road obstacles)

  • trouser belt
Yes, the belt is cool because it forces you NOT to have sweatpants :) and you will be able to carry your knife safely on the belt.

  • at least 3 pairs of socks (in summer 2 pairs are enough)
When your shoes get wet, changing your socks for new ones will be a huge amount of fun.

  • an extra layer of insulating clothing
If you move then your body receives a certain amount of warmth and you feel comfortable – we will move a lot of times, but if you sit down to listen to training information you need such a thermal layer to keep you comfortable at rest. (insulated jacket, very warm fleece, down “sweater”, down jacket)

  • Lightweight gloves for camping work
Preparing wood, collecting “sticks”, preparing shelter – of course, you can do this without gloves, but why when you can take them.

  • Head flashlight with “fresh” batteries!!!
Absolutely and indisputably you must have a headlamp flashlight. There is one basic and very simple explanation – without a head flashlight you cannot work at night. With a head flashlight you can work (collect fuel, prepare a meal, repair equipment) at night which extends our training. We do not require you to have a PETZLA for 4 thousand zlotys :) – the simplest headlamp for 10zl + spare batteries will suffice :)

  • HAT
Because mom was always right! In winter a warm hat, in summer mandatory headgear to protect you from the sun and heat stroke. Glasses will also come in handy – 100 points to lans in the woods!

  • FOOD!
You don’t need to take either water or food or any rations or freeze-dried food. We will give you food in the form of MRE and animal rations during the training.

On a training course it may be useful:

  • a knife (it doesn’t matter the make, model, price and the amount of lance point resulting from having this knife – take what you have)
  • flashlight + spare batteries
  • sleeping bag (yes – it is always better to sleep in your sleeping bag:) )
  • karimata
  • a change of underwear
  • rainwear
  • toilet paper
  • garbage bag 120 l
  • notebook +cook
  • A meniscus or cup in which to cook(+spoon)
Winter Season:
Remember especially your hat, gloves and warm clothing. It is a good idea to carry duplicate gloves and a hat because the ones you will be working in may get wet, lost, damaged.
Thermo-active underwear is not required, but it is a cool thing that really works :)
Summer season:
A hat, sunglasses, and a MEASURE for mosquitoes and ticks! – THERE ARE A LOT OF THEM

Since you are going from far away take with you a change of clothes – shoes, pants and sweatshirts, because those in which you will participate in the course may be destroyed, soiled and certainly will smell of fire;-) – although that way the whole compartment on the train will be just for you :)

You can bring your cameras with you, but photo documentation will be kept by us at all times. If you take cell phones with you, try to w that the ringtones are muted enough not to disturb others ( We realize that your work may require constant contact). The coverage throughout the training area is moderate.

It is also important that you turn off the alarm clock on your phone! It often happens that on Sunday morning at 05:00 the orchestra starts playing waking everyone up :)

Please remember that you will be operating non-stop in forest conditions, in the
terrain hence apply yourselves to fitting your clothing and equipment
to these conditions. You can always call and ask us for all the details.

2. Payment for training

You book your place by paying a deposit of 50% of the course value.
- Of course, if you have a gift voucher then you don’t have to pay anything, your reservation is confirmed and paid for

Of course, you are welcome to pay the entire amount for the training, as this makes it easier from a practical point of view to settle accounts “on the spot” (giving change, looking for change, looking for a wallet tucked deep in your backpack, etc.).

Remember that the training can be canceled due to low attendance – then the trainee chooses another convenient date.

We would also like to remind you that we very rarely cancel trainings :) and usually at each training there is a full set of participants – therefore, the sooner you make a payment, the better chance you have of staying on the list, because participation in the training is determined by the order of payment.

Important!
The payment is a deposit! Each participant can change the date of the training once no later than 3 days before the training.

GETTING TO THE TRAINING SITE:

https://maps.app.goo.gl/rUVtVnTfnNiuuozDA

If you are going to drive your own car to the place where we run the training head for the village of Biskupice near Czestochowa (the larger town next door is Olsztyn) (town code: 42-256).
When driving from the town of Olsztyn in the direction to the village of Biskupice at a sharp 90-degree bend, continue “straight ahead” on the dirt road.

At our center there is a safe parking lot for cars, buses and vans

FAQ:
I don’t eat foods of meat origin. Do I have to prepare a set for myself?
Yes. Roughly 2500 kcal divided into dinner in the evening, a light breakfast (snack) and a stronger meal during the lunch period on Sunday.
Is it possible to arrive already at the training site (at the center)?
Yes, of course it is possible to arrive already at the training place, although it requires good preparation because the center is located in a forest area and it happens very often that when we return from a meeting with the trainees at the station someone continues to wander around our center :). So we suggest you come to the train station – although you can come to the center at 10:30 :)
Can I come to your resort earlier and stay overnight that way?
Yes, but you need to let us know and prepare a “forest” accommodation. Our resort does not have any infrastructure.
Where should I leave my car?
If you arrive at the COS survivaltech training site here is also a place to safely leave cars.
Do you need a large backpack, a bag that we will carry?
No, all training is done in “stationary” mode we move in all the time close to something during the kid we always called the base :)
Can I bring my dog?
Not really because the classes are conducted non-stop from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm – you simply won’t have time to take care of your dog.
What time do we end the classes?
Usually around 4-5 p.m. We are at the train station around 6 p.m. Of course, there may be “slippage” or other factors beyond our control.

The key message is not to be late for class. :)
